  • Powerful and Quiet Operation: A substantial 300mm (12-inch) industrial fan capable of speeds up to 1400 RPM, enclosed safely within FSC-certified Birch plywood with protective grilles to prevent contact with moving parts.

  • Versatile Airflow Control: Adjustable airflow direction allows you to create gentle breezes or dramatic gusts horizontally or vertically, ideal for use with parachutes, ribbons, curtains, and other sensory props.

  • Integrated Variable Speed Control: Tailor your sensory experiences precisely, ranging from a calming breeze to a stimulating windstorm with an intuitive control dial featuring an integrated on/off switch.

  • Portability Options: Available in two models—one floor-standing and one with four heavy-duty wheels (two locking brakes) for effortless repositioning in sensory rooms, therapy areas, schools, clinics, or hospitals.

  • Switch Control Functionality (Optional): Connect the Windbox to Mike Ayres Design's fixed or portable switch control points (sold separately) for interactive sensory sessions. Users can activate the wind machine easily through four distinct operational modes:

    • ON Mode: Continuous operation unaffected by switches.

    • LATCHED Mode: Toggles on/off with each switch activation.

    • MOMENTARY Mode: Active only while switch is pressed.

    • TIMED Mode: Runs for a user-defined period after switch activation.
